Just today, Apple has released yet another iOS update; iOS 10.1.1 – this release fixes a few bugs, a few which have been present since iOS 10 was originally launched last month.
iOS 10.1.1 is availble for all devices that are currently running iOS 10. iPhone 5 and later, iPad 4th generation and later as well as the iPod touch 6th generation.
How do I upgrade?
As usual you can upgrade two ways, over the air (OTA) or by using iTunes and plugging your iPhone or iPad in.
- Over the air – the easiest way is to update your iPhone or iPad manually on the device, go to Settings > General > Software Update and follow the instructions.
- iTunes – also, this is something you should do now and again. A full backup, restore and software update of your device. Our guide shows you how.
Whats new in iOS 10.1.1?
This new update is around 70MB, depening on which device you have.
As mentioned, this update mainly contains bug fixes, but the previous update which only came around a week ago added the the Portrait mode for the iPhone 7 Plus as well as new Transport features for Japan in Apple Maps.
