Does every Fire TV model work with the Apple TV app?

According to Amazon’s Medium post about this, starting today only the Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen) and the Fire TV Stick 4K will work at the moment – but only to US, Canada, UK Germany, France Italy, Spain and India. It seems if you have a 2nd Gen TV Stick or 4K TV Stick and are not win those countries, then it might not be out yet.

However, if you have the Fire TV Basic Edition the Apple TV app is out in over 50 countries.

Amazon has also said:

“The app will be coming soon to Fire TV Cube (1st and 2nd Gen), Fire TV (3rd Gen pendant design), Toshiba and Insignia Fire TV Edition smart TVs, and Nebula sound bar. The Apple TV app is not compatible with Fire TV (1st and 2nd Gen) and Fire TV Stick (1st Gen).”
