Smart home gadgets are always good fun to have, and compared to even three or four years ago, the upfront cost of getting a smart home up and running has come down a long way. TP-Link Smart WiFi Bulb
Prices, functionality and security of WiFi bulbs vary so much. The high end and best WiFi bulbs are generally LIFX, but while the functionality, options for security and brightness of those bulbs are fantastic, there is a price factor which puts some people off. That’s where TP-Link’s bulb comes in, usually it is £34.99, but today on amazon.co.uk it is listed for £19.99. It may not support Apple HomeKit for some reason, but it works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and IFTTT. It also includes a handy adaptor for bayonet type fittings.
Amazon Echo Flex
This is one of Amazon’s latest Echo products, it was launched back in September this year and is one of the easiest ways to get an Alexa device in your home. It has a built in speaker and microphone to allow you to talk with Alexa, but Amazon say it isn’t designed to be used for music, instead this device is supposed to be used in areas where you may not have the space for a full blown Echo speaker, but if you do need music, the Echo Flex has a 3.5mm headphone jack to output to a speaker or HiFi.

Netatmo Outdoor Flood Light Security Camera
Netatmo, a french company best known for its weather station – which now works with HomeKit. All of its products support Apple HomeKit, Alexa and many more but one of its best products is the outdoor flood light camera, which works with HomeKit, has night vision and best of all – doesn’t require you to record to the cloud all the time as you can point the recordings to a network FTP server, on board SD card or Dropbox if you want to.

LIFX+ B22 WiFi Bulb
LIFX as we mentioned earlier is one of the best companies to get WiFi bulbs from, they support nearly every platform: HomeKit, IFTTT, Alexa, Google Assistant, Works with Nest and much more – but they do make an interesting array of products, such as this one which is in the LIFX+ range. Basically, this bulb has an intergaretd infrared light which even if the bulb is turned off but still has power, will be on to provide IR for your cameras if they have an IR filter.

Logitech Circle 2
Logitech is one of the few companies which make a good HomeKit camera, this Circle 2 works with HomeKit Secure Video too, which was new this year with iOS 13. It also works with Alexa.
