This week, Ford unveiled a new special edition of the Ford GT dubbed the “Heritage Edition” and it pays homage to the 1966 Ford GT in which Ken Miles won at the Le Mans 24 hour race. The special edition car has a unique red and black exterior which is a modern take on the 66′ car, with 98 numbers on each side as well as exposed carbon fibre.

On the inside of the Ford GT, black suede has been added to the headliner, steering wheel with red details on the seats. The engine has remained unchanged from the standard car, the 638bhp 3.5-litre V6 pushes the car to 60mph in 3.0 seconds on on to a top speed of 216mph.

Only 50 Heritage Edition Ford GT cars will be made worldwide and here in the UK, about 10 are set to available. Prices are set to be £400,000 when it goes on sale early in 2021.
