As of this week, Skoda has put the all new Enyaq iV EV on sale, with prices starting at £31,085 – which is after the £3,000 the UK government offers as a grant for new electric cars. The Enyaq iV sits on the same platform as the new ID.3 from Volkswagen.

Skoda is offering a number of trim levels for the Enyaq with the entry level car coming with a 62kWh battery pack, with 178bhp and 0-60mph in 8.7 seconds. The motor on this car is rear mounted and has a range of 256 miles.

The next model up is the Skoda Enyaq iV 80 and is priced at £35,950 and as the name suggests it has a larger 82kWh battery pack with 201bhp. The range on this model is 333 miles with 0-60mph handled in 8.5 seconds. Both of the above models can be specced with faster DC charging support, with 100kW for the 62kWh model and 125kW for the 82kWh model. The fast charging option increases the price by £430.

All cars come with fabric seats, dual zone climate control, ambient lighting, eight speaker audio system and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other models can be optioned with leather-and-Alcantara upholstery and piano black trim on the dash. 20-inch alloy wheels and heated seats in the front and rear is also an option.
