Land Rover has updated the Velar recently with new technology, software updates and new paint options in the range. The Velar was launched back in 2017 and this new minor updated car is on sale now, with prices starting art £45,925 in the UK.
Starting with the interior, Land Rover has brought over its OTA update system from the Defender, which will be updated soon to add wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto to the Velar. Land Rover also has added a new cabin air filtration system, with its ‘Cabin Air Purification Plus.’ The system is designed to manage the CO2 levels in the cabin.
On the outside, Land Rover have added a new option for self-sealing tyres, these have a new extra layer of material inside the tyre, inbetween the tread and inner wall to create a seal to trap the air in the tyre. There is also some new paint options, with Ostuni Pearl White and Lantau Bronze.
In terms of engines, nothing has really changed. At the entry level is a 2.0-litre diesel engine with mild hybrid assistance and 201bhp.
The new Velar is on sale now, with prices starting art £45,925. A new Range Rover Velar Edition is also offered now, priced at £60,345.
