This week, Apple released macOS Monterey‌‌ 12.1 with support for SharePlay and a few extra features and improvements. This is the first major update to the operating system since it was initially released in October.

SharePlay has been added, which is a feature that lets you share your screen, music, videos and apps with other people on a FaceTime call. The feature has been out on iPadOS, tvOS and iOS for a little while now and the Mac is just catching up.

Also new is a Store tab in the Apple TV app, to bring it inline with the other updates this week on other Apple platforms. Apple Music Voice Plan is also added to macOS 12.1, which is a $4.99 / £4.99 a month plan which allows you to use the service, but only using Siri.

macOS 12.1 is out now and can be downloaded by going to System Preferences > Software Update.
