New holiday update is now out for Teslas – adds TikTok, Sonic game and more!

Tesla has today released its big update for owners, just in the for the Christmas holiday. The update this time around is quite large, with a lot to dig into. First of all, Tesla has added some new entrainment apps, such as TikTok and a new Sonic the Hedgehog game.

The TikTok app can be found under the Tesla Theatre and will allow users to watch any video from that site, so long as the car is in parked mode. The Sonic game can be found in the Arcade, for some reason the game can be played whilst the car is moving, something which needs to be fixed as it could be a distraction.

Also new is the light show, something which until now has been a Model X exclusive Easter egg. On the Model X, the lights flash and the Falcon doors open and close in time, now every other Tesla model will be able to join in the fun.

Few other additions look to make day to day life a bit easier, such as the ability to now re-order the bottom app draw, the navigation UI has been made simpler, drivers can now delete dashcam clips from the screen and finally as soon as the driver indicates to move out, the blind spot camera can automatically turn on to show you something you wouldn’t be able to see.
