Gridserve, the company who runs the Electric Highway charging network in the UK has opened its second ever fully Electric Forecourt in Norwich. The company opened its first Electric Forecourt in Braintree, Essex in December 2020 and since then it has gained a large media attention and glowing online reviews.

Today, Gridserve has now opened a new ‘Compact Electric Forecourt’ in Norwich. The facility has 36 rapid chargers, including eight Tesla Superchargers. 22 of the chargers support up to 350kW charging speeds. The location is perfect, the East of England is quite far behind terms of EV charging points per person and the opening of this forecourt basically doubles the amount of fast EV chargers in that area.

The Gridserve Norwich Electric Forecourt is located in Broadland Gate Business Park in Postwick and just like the Braintree location, it is powered by 100% renewable energy. There are some nice amenities on site such as Costa Coffee, M&S Food and WHS Smith.

Gridserve has big plans, it is already discussing its third location which will be opening later this year and will be at Gatwick Airport. That location will be able to charge 36 electric cars art one time, and like its other forecourts there will be a supermarket and cafe.
