BMW yesterday revealed the long awaited M3 Touring, it’ll make an official world debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week, but the company has now revealed the pricing, release date and full specs. This is the first ever M3 estate car BMW has ever released and is part of an ongoing celebration for the 50th anniversary of the M division, at BMW.
The new M3 Touring is due to go on sale later this year in September, with official production starting in November. Like most M cars now offered in the UK, it’ll only be available in the Competition spec, here on the M3 in Competition xDrive trim only. The 3.0-lite straight six makes 503bhp and 479lb ft torque and can propel the car from 0-60mph in just 3.6 seconds. Top speed is 174mph, so long as you spec the optional M Driver’s package.
Apart from the new rear end and longer roof, the rest of the car is pretty much identical to the saloon M3, with a new quad sports exhauster, 19-inch front wheels, 20-inch rear wheels and flared wheel arches.
Inside the M3 Touring is a new 14.9-inch infotainment screen, running iDrive but can handle Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The driver gets a 12.3-inch digital dash.
The M3 Touring is priced from £80,550.
