Polestar is planning on revealing its first full size SUV next month, the Polestar 3. The new SUV will be revealed at an event in Denmark on 12th October 2022 and once the event is finished, potential customers will be able to pre-order the all electric car. Pricing has already been revealed had of time, with it starting from £79,845 in the UK. Polestar is making this a premium rival to the Audi e-tron and BMW iX.
As the name suggests, this is the third all new car from Polestar, which is a sister brand of Volvo. Ahead of the media event, the company has revealed a fair amount of specs and images of the exterior – it begs the question what are they planning on revealing at the event? The only thing that hasn’t been shown is the interior.
The Polestar 3 will have one battery on offer for the start, a 111kWh pack with 107kWh being usable. This gives it a range of 380 miles on the entry level “Long Range” trim. 0-60mph is handled in five seconds, with a top speed of 130mph.
At the top of the range is the “Performance” trim which has even more power, at 510nhp and a staggering 910Nm of torque. This model does 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds. Prices start at £85,445. Range here is a bit less, at 348 miles.
The new Polestar 3 is set to be revealed on 12th October, with the car going up for pre-order the same day. Prices are from £79,845 in the UK.
