Twitter announced that starting yesterday (6th October) that Twitter Blue subscribers in the United States now have the ability to edit tweets. Twitter has been testing the feature for around a month. Earlier this week, the company added support for the edit button to Twitter Blue subscribers in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

Twitter Blue is a premium subscription which Twitter has been running for a little while. Users pay $4.99 US per month (£4.50) and get access to custom app icons, a bookmarks folder, an undo tweet option, early access to new Twitter features and now, the ability to edit Tweets.

Users wishing to edit tweets have up to 30 minutes to do so, after the tweet has been sent. Tweets that have been edited are clearly labelled as so, with a new “Edited” label next to them, there is also clear history of when the tweet was edited and you’ll be able to see the history of that edit too.

Twitter Blue is available in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
