Mercedes has revealed that in Q3 2022, it has had rising sales of its all electric vehicles, which includes the vans it makes too. In Q3 2022, Mercedes has seen around 30,000 sales of its pure electric vehicle range, which is expanding all the time, with the company launching many new SUV models. Compared to Q3 2022, the sales have practically doubled, with Mercedes-Benz Vans seeing 3,000 sales of electric vans in the same time period.

That growth goes hand in hand with the electric car market as a whole, with UK sales up since last year and like Mercedes, BMW has seen double the EV sales it has has since 2021. Compared to the same quarter in 2021, Q3 2022 saw a sales increase of 115% and when compared to the quarter prior, an increase of 28%.

For Mercedes worldwide sales, the company sold 75,400 full EVs between January and September this year, which again when compared to the same time period in 2021 this was a huge increase of 126%. Here in Europe, the best selling EV the company has right now is the EQA SUV (pictured).

Looking at the commercial vehicles it offers, Mercedes-Benz Vans sold 3,300 units in Q3 2022, which is 14% less than is managed in 2021. This could be down the fact that the offering the company has isn’t as competitive with what other companies are offering. Ford has the new E-Transit with good range, Volkswagen has the new ID.Buzz Cargo which again, has good range.
