Apple CEO, Tim Cook seemingly met Elon Musk in person yesterday after the headline making news that Apple was forcing Twitter to do more moderation as well as threatening to remove the app from the App Store. Elon Musk shared a Tweet on Wednesday saying thank you to Tim Cook for showing him around Apple Park and in the video, the shadow to his left kind of looks like Tim Cook.

In regard to what was said, Elon said the following: “Good conversation. Among other things, we resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store. Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so.”

Elon Musk has been publicly complaining about Apple most of the week, saying on Monday that the adverts Apple has on the platform have “mostly stopped” and that Apple had threatened to “withhold Twitter from its App Store.” In some other threads, he mentioned that Apple was now “making moderation demands” but didn’t mention exactly what, but was likely due to Twitter reinstating accounts that had been previously banned, such as former U.S. President Donald Trump as well as 62,000 suspended accounts that had been previously suspended.

Elon has also been pretty vocal regarding Apple’s 30% cut on in-app-purchases on the App Store, something that would be an issue for Twitter Blue, which was using iOS as the only way to subscribe for the first few days it was available. Twitter has delayed the relaunch and has already missed its promised deadline of 29th November. According to Platformer, the company is taking its time to look at ways to avoid using in-app-purchases.
