Tesla this week, has announced that Apple Music is now available on Tesla vehicles, as part of the new holiday update that is rolling out to Tesla owners this week. The version ID is 2022.44.25 and allows support for Apple Music natively from within the Tesla UI, without having to use bluetooth from a smartphone. To access it, it will be required that the car has a subscription to Premium Connectivity, so it can stream the music over a cellular connection.

Looks like the setup process is pretty simple, just requiring that you scan a QR code and log in with your Apple ID.

“Stream over 100 million songs and 30,000 playlists ad-free. Listen to your entire library, discover new music, and tune into live radio stations. To access Apple Music, tap the Apple Music icon in the Application Launcher, scan the QR code with your mobile device, and login with your Apple ID.”

Along with Apple Music, this holiday update for Tesla adds support for viewing the interior camera when using Dog Mode or Sentry Mode to check up on your dog. Light shows can now be scheduled, Steam has been added to Model S and Model X cars, Track mode on Model Y Performance and make Zoom calls from within the car – plus much more!
