Porsche has a announced a new range of infotainment units for its older models, mainly for models from the early 2000s including the 997 Porsche 911 and 987 Porsche Boxster and Cayman built from 2005 to 2008 and the first-generation Porsche Cayenne built from 2003 to 2008. This is the second line of head units that the company is offering and these devices will work with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and be completely drop in, almost if they look like they were designed for that car.

The PCCM Plus in all the models will be super easy to replace and will be instead of the original 2 DIN Porsche Communication Management system. Porsche will make sure that the screens come with the correct fascia to match the original interior of the vehicle. The attention to detail is second to none too, with the head units even working with the existing dash cluster navigation screens.

The new PCCM Plus units can be ordered from Porsche dealerships for $1,475.99 in the US and Canada, as well as some other countries too. Porsche knows that owners hold onto their cars for a long time and this shows their commitment to those buyers.
