Earlier this week, BMW put the new i4 eDrive35 on sale, marking a new entry level trim for the model. The car has a range of 299 miles, which is pretty impressive – other trim levels, such as the M Sport has a range of 288 miles.

The new eDrive35 sits at the base of the range, below the eDrive40 and M50 models and while it is the entry version, it is priced from £49,995 which is admittedly, less than the eDrive40 by £7,885.

Inside the eDrive35, as standard it comes with heated front seats, curved screens with a 12.3-inch drivers display as well as a 14.9-inch touchscreen for the infotainment. Running the show is iDrive 8 with support for all the usual Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

However, the main difference between the eDrive35 and eDrive40 is the battery. In the eDrive35 you can find a 70.2kWh pack, vs the 81.5kWh pack found in the eDrive40 and the M50 for that matter.

The BMW i4 eDrive35 is available to order now and the first customer deliveries will start this summer.
