Apple releases iOS 12.5.6 security update for older devices

Today, Apple has released a minor update for devices on iOS 12. iOS 12.5.6 has been released today to address some major vulnerabilities related to WebKit. This has already been addressed on the newer versions of Apple’s operating systems, with iOS 15.6.1, iPadOS 15.6.1, and macOS Monterey 12.5.1.

To update, go to Settings > General > Software Update. The devices affected are the ‌iPhone‌ 5s, ‌iPhone‌ 6, ‌iPhone‌ 6 Plus, iPod touch 6, original iPad Air, iPad mini 2, and ‌iPad mini‌ 3. These devices are unable to update past iOS 12.
