Earlier this week, Kia has dropped the Stinger GT saloon from sale in the UK, after just 2,300 sales and five years on the market.

The car was put on sale back in 2017 and was offered with a 3.3-litre V6, which produced 365bhp driving the rear wheels. The Stinger GT will be replaced with the new, all electric EV6 GT with the first examples of the care to be expected for delivery to customers in the last few weeks of this year.

The EV6 GT has 577bhp, all wheel drive and can do 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds. The car is on sale now for £60,895 and is even more expensive than the outgoing Stinger, at a £18,000 premium.

Kia has said that it will still honour any pending undelivered Stinger cars for the UK. The Stinger GT is currently being manufactured in South Africa.
