Amazon Alexa can now provide traffic updates and alerts for severe weather

Amazon is always working on what Alexa can do and now, as of this week Alexa can now tell you what the traffic is like, ready for your morning commute to work. Alexa can now tell you about the directions to take to avoid bad traffic and what the conditions are like on selected routes.

With the traffic alerts, Alexa can send you a notification to your phone if needed with the new route if it has opted to send you a different way.

Also new this week is the ability to tell you about severe weather, simply ask Alexa, tell me when there’s a severe weather alert” and Alexa will tell you about anything that’s going on.
