Apple releases Shazam web extension for Chrome

Apple has recently and rather quietly, released a new web extension for Chrome. The Shazam extension is available now for both Windows and Mac Chrome users and allows quick access to the app to help you identify and songs you have playing.

Since Apple acquired Shazam in 2017, the company has slowly been integrating the service into a lot of places. Apple has integration with Apple Music in the Shazam app, there is a dedicated app for macOS, the app is integrated into the iOS control centre too. Siri can even be used to ask what a certain song is.

The Chrome extension is available now from the Chrome Web Store.
