Apple TV app for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 now available

It has been announced today that the Apple TV app is now available on the new PlayStation 5 and the existing PlayStation 4, bringing Apple TV+ content, Apple TV channels and purchased content from iTunes. Just recently, the Apple TV app was made available on the new Xbox Series S and Series X too.

The Apple TV app on the Apple TV works different to how it works on third party platforms, on Apple TV the app tracks what you watch, from Amazon Prime, BBC iPlayer etc as well as Apple TV+ and iTunes films and TV Shows. On third party platforms, it only allows access to Apple content.

Learn more see our guide here about Apple TV+ and the Apple TV app.

The Apple TV app is already available on Samsung, Sony, LG, and Vizio smart TVs – as well as Roku devices, Amazon Fire TV and more.
