AWS alone, generated two thirds of Amazon’s profit for Q4 2019

We mentioned earlier today that Amazon had hit 150 million Prime members worldwide during the fourth quarter of 2019 and also, the lesser known side to Amazon, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has generated a lot of profit for the company in the last financial quarter.

AWS is Amazon’s cloud platform which businesses and customers can host websites, services, storage and much, much more. AWS generated two thirds of the profit Amazon made in Q4 2019. AWS pulled in around $10 billion revenue and profit was $2.6 billion.

“We continue to see a lot of momentum with customers across a wide range of industries, from startups to enterprise customers and public sector”
