Disney+ now has 54.5 million subscribers

During it’s quarterly earnings call this week, Disney announced that it now has 54.5 million active subscribers using Disney+ which is a large jump of 4.5 million subscribers since the 9th April, when the service hit 50 million subscribers.

These huge numbers come after Disney+ was launched here in Europe, following the launch in the US last year. On the 23rd March, it launched here in the UK and rest of Europe, apart from France who had access from the 7th April.

This growth is impressive, as Disney were expecting to hit between 60 and 90 million subscribers by the end of 2024.
