Eve debuts Eve Cam, which supports HomeKit Secure Video

Eve Systems has launched its first camera product this week at CES, called the Eve Cam which supports HomeKit and HomeKit Secure Video, which was introduced with iOS 13 at WWDC last June.

Eve has said that the Eve Cam  “is the first camera designed exclusively for Apple HomeKit Secure Video. It was built from the ground up to protect your privacy.”

Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video is a more secure way of viewing video streams remotely, utilising the HomeKit hub in the house to analyse and process video. The recorded footage doesn’t touch Eve and gets stored in iCloud with up to 10 days footage which can be viewed from the Home app.

Eve Cam starts shipping in April this year for $150 in the US only for now.
