Forza Motorsport 7 will be taken off of the Microsoft Store in September

According to the official Forza Twitter account, Forza Motorsport 7 will be taken off of the official Microsoft Store come 15th September. The game will remain playable, but will be no longer available to purchase or play on Xbox Game Pass. By that day in September, the game would have reached its ‘end of life’, which for Forza games is around four years, due to the cars and tracks being licensed for use and they expire.

If you own the game, nothing is going to change – the game will still work and multiplayer will continue to be available.

This has happened in the past with other Forza games, Forza Horizon 3 was removed for purchase in 2020, after it was released in 2016 and then Forza Motorsport 6 was removed in 2019, after it was released in 2015. There is a new game in the franchise coming later this year with Forza Horizon 5, which this time is set in Mexico but no sequel to Motorsport 7 is rumoured.
