Instagram has now removed the IGTV button

This week the Instagram app has been updated and amongst a few new aesthetic details to how chats are displayed in DMs, the IGTV icon has now been removed from the top row.

TechCrunch reported this news earlier this week and Instagram spoke to them too, saying: “Most people are finding IGTV content through previews in Feed, the IGTV channel in Explore, creators’ profiles and the standalone app.”

IGTV is still around, however and you’ll see it for longer videos where it says ‘continue watching’ but good to see Instagram is listening to users and making changes based on what users do.
