Leaker suggests that new smaller HomePod is due in November for under $100

We all know the HomePod is quite a bit more expensive than the rest of the smart speaker market, which has seemed to effect its sales but its sound quality more than makes up for it, however Apple seems to want to cater to more of the market than the current model does with a rumoured upcoming smaller model, dubbed ‘HomePod mini’ which would retail for $99. The current HomePod was announced at WWDC 2017 then went on sale in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia in January 2018 for $349 / £319 / A$499. The price was then reduced in April 2019.

According to a leaker called Kang on a Chinese Weibo account the HomePod mini will cost $99, be 3.3-inches in height (the current HomePod is 6.8-inches tall) and is due to go on sale next month, between the 16th and the 17th November.
