Microsoft is now shipping the developer version of HoloLens

It’s Microsoft’s big conference today, Build 2016 and today the HoloLens is now shipping to developers after the pre-orders opened in February for $3,000 a pop, for developers. This latest version of HoloLens is intended for developers to further optimise their apps and holograms for when the final device launches.

In the picture above, this is also the first time we have had a look at the latest version of the hardware, the carrying case and the packaging – which looks quite funky, Microsoft has also bundled an extra device called ‘Clicker,’ something to help use the interface, unlike Google Glass which used a trackpad o the side of the device.

HoloLens devices are shipping today, to qualified developers who pre-ordered.
