Nest Cam IQ Outdoor is now available in Europe

Last year, late in the Autumm Nest launched its outdoor version of the Nest Cam IQ but only in the US, the Nest Cam IQ is s the company’s high end connected camera with facial recognition and built in 4K sensor but it has taken a a while to make it over the pond here to the UK and rest of Europe so today Nest has finally launched the new outdoor version over here.

Like the Nest Cam IQ breifly mentioned above, the outdoor version can recongnise faces, has the 4K sensor and is also fully weather proof – rated to IP66 which means it can cope with rain, snow and heavy rain. Although it does require to be plugged in all the time, and it doesn’t have ethernet or PoE support like all of the cameras on sale from Nest which could be a downside if you’re in the market for a connected camera.

Part of the appeal of the Nest Camera system is the Nest Aware subscption service, which can store the footage in the cloud for remote viewing and access.

Availability

The Nest Cam IQ Outdoor is on sale now for £329 / €379 from nest.com and other stores.
