The electric pickup truck market is pretty lacking right now in the UK, with the only offering being the Maxus eTERRON 9. However, there is going to be a few new ones coming soon, such as the Toyota Hilux EV and Isuzu D-Max EV.
Although beating both of them to the punch is another contender, the brand new KGM Musso EV - which not only has more range than the Japanese offerings, it significantly undercuts the Isuzu on price.
KGM teased the new Musso EV in the middle of 2025, almost as a proof of concept to show it was possible and to gauge market reaction. However, the South Korean car company has now decided to make it a reality and it'll be arriving this May.
Prices will start at an extremely competitive £42,995 including VAT (including the £2,500 Plug-in Van Grant.) For context, the Isuzu D-Max EV will be £71,994 when it goes on sale and the Maxus is £65,635. Pricing for the Hilux EV is not yet known.
The look and feel of the new Musso EV closely resembles the Torres EVX that the company launched back in 2024, with slim futuristic headlights and light up dotted line pattern in-between.

The battery is decidedly large, using a 80.6kWh LFP blade pack from BYD. KGM also uses a BYD battery in the Torres EVX, albeit a tad smaller at 73.4 kWh. This is good for a claimed range of 240 miles and the charging speed is extremely impressive, rated at 300kW, which will easily make it the fastest charging EV pickup offered in the UK. Charging up from 10-80% will take 31 minutes and it also supports V2L as standard, useful for powering tools on the go.
The maximum payload is 690kg, with a max towing capacity of 2.3 tonnes.

Inside, KGM has used the same sort of interior that is found in the Torres EVX, with two 12.3-inch screens, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and a wide range of safety systems.
The new KGM Musso EV will go on sale in May 2026, with prices from £42,995 including VAT and the Plug-in Van Grant.
