Nintendo has now discontinued the NES Classic Edition

News from Alex and Ed Gaming

The Nintendo NES Classic was a massive hit last Christmas, a lot of people did wait a long time to get hold of one for a number of months and also up to recently. But now Nintendo has killed off the the Classic Edition of the NES, the retro throwback console may be available on some websites still and eBay, but the company has said that the last shipments for North America will be in stock sometime this month.

Nintendo also spoke to IGN stating the reason why the popular console was discontinued.

“NES Classic Edition wasn’t intended to be an ongoing, long-term product,”

If you’re still desperate to get hold one of one, eBay still has a few available – but expect there to be price hikes.
