Ora Funky Cat EV will cost £30,495 in the UK when it launches later this year

Chinese company Great Wall Motors has a new all electric hatch back to bring to the UK, with the Ora Funky Cat. The car has had significant interest from the UK market the company says, with over 6,000 registrations of interest to date. Like most new cars launched lately, the Ora Funky Cat is a full electric car, with a 48kWh battery and a quoted range of 193 miles.

When the Ora Funky Cat launches in the UK this Autumn, it’ll cost from £30,495 (after the government £1,500 EV grant). This price is for the entry level model, which has adaptive cruise control, 360° camera, LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels and wireless phone charging. The Ora Funky Cat also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The car will be available in just four colours, green, black, red and grey – with the option of a black roof, like the header image.

Great Wall Motors is planning on selling 50,000 examples of the cute Ora Funky Cat in the UK, within the first year. This model has already be on sale in China since 2018. If it sells well, GWM will be planning on bringing more of its models over the UK.
