Pei Wei now accepting Apple Pay, in the US

Pei Wei is now accepting Apple Pay, Apple’s mobile payment system is now live in their restaurant locations across the US. Last week Pei Wei announced that it is now accepting the payment system from the iPhone 6 and Apple Watch. The restaurant launched support for Apple Pay back in July to test it in sixteen restaurants in Phoenix, the restaurant chain is now confident that it will be successful in the rest the 200 other locations it has.

Since the launch of Apple Pay last October, the support from retailers has grown immensely and back in July the support was expanded into the UK. The actual usage numbers for Apple pay is yet unknown, as the company hasn’t revealed usage numbers. Although Apple has to keep the progress up as PayPal has long had a mobile payments system which is now in Subway.
