Peugeot launches all new 408 Fastback

Peugeot launches all new 408 Fastback

Peugeot has launched the all new 408, a new fastback model which is based on the existing 308 and combines a saloon, SUV and hatchback all into one car. The 408 has five doors, but is longer and taller than the 308 on which it is based.

The 408 will come with a range of combustion only and hybrid engines when it becomes available early next year. There will be two plug in hybrid engines and one petrol only engine, Peugeot is also planing to launch a fully electric 408 model too.

Peugeot is positioning the 408 between the existing 308 and the SUV 3008. It has a large boot, at 536 litres and has the same modern interior found on new Peugeot models, with the latest i-Cockpit interior and a new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new Peugeot 408 is due to go on sale later this year in the UK, prices are yet to be confirmed and deliveries are set to start in early 2023.
