GTA V is one of the oldest games on the market, nearly eight years old and with a launch date back in 2013, it is due for a new version with GTA 6 surely coming soon. However despite this GTA V is selling incredibly well, in 2020 alone Rockstar sold over 1 million copies of the game.

The games sales success in 2020 can be attributed to the pandemic, people at home, more time playing video games and the story goes on, its one of the reasons Disney+ did well and launch and is doing well still.

In 2020, 1,127,222 copies of GTA V were sold, coming third in the best selling games of last year, first place was taken by Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War with 1,420,353 copies sold.
