Spotify now has 70 million paying subscribers

Just recently, Spotify has filed a confidential Initial Public Offering which means the company is planning on going public with their stock. The recent news regrading subscriber numbers makes this very important, as good news from a company always should bump the stocks up somewhat.

Big numbers

This week Spotify announced that they had hit 70 million paying subscribers, which is actually around 10 million more than Apple Music has – although, realistically speaking Spotify has been around nearly ten years and Apple Music has been around nearly 2 1/2 years and the instant growth of Apple’s offering is impressive nonetheless.
