The amount of Teslas on UK roads has trebled in just one year

Tesla cars are incredibly popular and here in the UK the popularity has increased a lot since the Model 3 went on sale last year. Back in April, at the start of the lockdown in the UK, while other car companies seemed to struggle in the transition from dealership sales only, The Model 3 became the best selling car in the UK, beating out the ever popular Ford Fiesta.

Thanks to the way Tesla runs, with orders primarily handled online, this gave the company an edge when we instantly lost that foot traffic at traditional dealerships.

Now, according to a study from UHY Hacker Young which found that in the last twelve months, the deployment of Teslas in the UK has increased by 336%, jumping from 27,000 to 90,900. As expected, this increase can be attributed to the Model 3, which was made available in the UK from June 2019 at a cheaper price than any Tesla model on sale before it.

The study also found that Milton Keynes is one of the most popular areas for Tesla owners.

Milton Keynes has one of the highest density of electric vehicle chargers, outside of London which has 106 electric charging points per 100,000 people.
