The OG Angry Birds app comes back to the App Store

The OG Angry Birds app comes back to the App Store

In the early days of the App Store, Angry Birds was one of the original classics, along with the likes of Doodle Jump and Fruit Ninja. Rovio, the developers behind the iconic game said there has been a lot of outcry for them to bring back the old games, but updated for the new devices Apple and Android are offering.

Well, earlier this month Rovio brought back the original Angry Birds game but totally rebuilt from the ground up to take advantage of the new devices on sale. The company said that to keep updating the original apps was untenable and it was not possible to leave the apps without them being updated as over time, certain things would break as iOS moves on.

Rovio has released the new app on the Apple App Store and Google Play, with it being called Rovio Classics: Angry Birds – $0.99 in the US and £0.89 in the UK. It doesn’t gave any in-app purchases or adverts.
