Twitter will now warn you if you happen to like a tweet which is misleading

Twitter will now warn you if you happen to like a tweet which is misleading

Twitter is doing a lot to provide facts, context and general information about what people and companies are tweeting about and one of the latest additions are warning messages if you happen to press ‘like’ on a tweet which has been disputed. This comes after the messages which are present if you retweet or quote retweet an article or disputed tweet.

Misinformation on social media is unfortunately a big issue, in the last few months Twitter has had to label President Trumps tweets for sharing misinformation about the election and voting, some information about vaping into an Xbox Series X made the news and caused so much of a stir that Microsoft themselves had to advise people to not blow smoke into an Xbox and when iOS 14 was released in September someone shared misinformation about key loggers on iOS and blaming third party developers, even though it is impossible to do so.
