Ubiquiti announces new UniFi Protect Camera AI 360

Ubiquiti announces new UniFi Protect Camera AI 360

Earlier this year, Ubiquiti revealed a new PTZ camera for use with its UniFi Protect platform. At the time, the AI 360 was in beta and only available to purchase for those users in the company’s beta program. However, late last week, Ubiquiti announced that the new camera is available to the general public. Its priced at £254.50 in the UK and $299 in the US.

The form factor is similar to a UniFi access point, as is the mounting hardware. The camera has a 360° fisheye lens, with a resolution of 1920 x 1920 at 30FPS and it looks like it can be moved around by pan tilt zoom in software, its also vandal and water resistant, rated at IPX4 and IK08 with the optional bubble lens. Ubiquiti also say the AI 360 has exchanged smart detection, more capable at busy scenes as a use case for this camera is in a ceiling, looking down on a parking area or shop floor.

On Ubiquiti’s main UniFi Protect marketing page it says the camera has People Analytics for “Real-time subject differentiation and spatial analytics allow you to identify your space’s most populated areas.” and Retail Heat Mapping for “Illustrate foot traffic data with dynamic heat mapping designed to show you exactly where your visitors gravitate.”
