Ubiquiti introduces new airFiber 60GHz LR

Ubiquiti has recently introduced the new long range version of the airFiber 60 enabling up to a claimed range of 12km. Ubiqiuti has developed a new ‘WaveTechnology’ beaming forming allowing the devices to connect to each other when they are not quite aligned perfectly.

There is a separate 2.4GHz chip for connecting a phone to and using the UISP app to set up the device, but there is no 5GHz fail over radio as there is with the GigaBeam line of devices.

Ubiquiti has said the airFiber 60 LR is coming soon on the 7th December and will cost $399 per end.
