Ubiquiti launches the brand new AI Bullet camera for UniFi Protect

Ubiquiti launches the brand new AI Bullet camera for UniFi Protect

Back in December 2021, Ubiquiti unveiled the new AI Bullet via its YouTube channel and has been going through the EA beta process ever since. We also published a handy comparison guide taking a look at the AI Bullet vs the similar G4 Pro.

However, many months have gone by and Ubiquiti has finally released the AI Bullet to the general public and is on sale now on the official Ubiquiti Store in the US and is marked as “coming soon” in the UK and EU.

What’s new?

So besides the G4 PTZ camera, this is the first black camera from Ubiquiti and is very similar in design to the G4 Pro. It is priced a little lower than the Pro and it has a lower resolution sensor at 4MP (2688 x 1512) and up to 30FPS, vs the 4K sensor on the G4 Pro.

The AI Bullet has some new advanced smart detection capabilities and range. Ubiquiti say up to 10 meters for people and up to 20 meters for vehicles. On the product listing, it says “Note: AI-powered vehicle classification and pet detection functionality coming soon.”

The AI Bullet is on sale now from the US Ubiquiti Store for $399 and is out of stock as of writing. In the UK and EU it is listed as coming soon and is €468 EU and £393.07 UK.
