As a Windows Insider myself the initial experience of trying out a operating system in its rawest form is quite a experience, a lot of people get pretty fed up with their computers anyway without the need for beta software in the mix but last year from January when the Windows 10 Insider Preview was released through to July when the pubic edition went live, users willing to give up stability and reliability to try out a bran new operating system were treated every couple of weeks with a new build of Windows 10 and got to see what the guys at Redmond were working on. But now with the latest build, 14251 and the one before that, 11107 there haven’t been any new features and big name improvements, but at least the company has been sticking to it’s word so far this year about more frequent builds.

So nothing new is actually here in this build of Windows 10, but there are lots of bug fixes which is always nice. In this version Microsoft have fixed the following issues.

• The issue where some PC games would crash switching from windowed mode to full screen, upon game resolution change, or upon launch due to a bug in Windows graphics stack.
• The issue where applications such as Narrator, Magnifier, and third-party assistive technologies may experience intermittent issues or crashes.
• An issue where File Explorer would crash frequently when DPI settings were at 175 percent.

And being a beta, there are the usual known issues:

• You might see a WSClient.dll error dialog after logging in. Microsoft is working on a fix for this but as a workaround, you can run the following in Command Prompt with administrative rights: schtasks /delete /TN “\Microsoft\Windows\WS\WSRefreshBannedAppsListTask” /F
• The Connect button does not show up in Action Center. The workaround is to press Windows key + P and then click “Connect to a wireless display”.
• Due to a recent memory management change, you may see periodic app crashes or other memory related app errors. The workaround is to reboot your PC.
