Contactless payment limit raised to £45 from £30 in the UK

Contactless payment limit raised to £45 from £30 in the UK

What with all the news and issues happening right now with coronavirus, the importance of not touching cash and physical buttons on a keypad is more important than ever. This could be part of the reason why the contactless card limit has been increased from £30 to £45. The increase will take place in a few days on the 1st April.

However, while it sounds like a good idea health wise to use contactless more and cash less, the WHO hasn’t advised against using cash.

Services such as Apple Pay are available and have been for nearly five years here in the UK and due to their secure nature, they allow payments of any amount.
