GWM announces refreshed Ora Good Cat in China with larger screens and updated design

GWM ORA Good Cat 2025

GWM sub brand, Ora has announced the first facelift for the Good Cat, which is otherwise known as the Ora 03 in the UK and in some markets, the Ora Funky Cat. This is the first time the car has had some kind of redesign and offers exterior design changes, new technology inside and improved range.

Design Changes

The new version of the Ora Good Cat in China looks very similar to the outgoing model, but the design has been refined in a number of ways. For example, around the front the bumper has been cleaned up with new side air intakes and larger lower grille.

Inside, GWM has added a much more modern and larger infotainment screen, jumping up from 7.0-inches in the previous version to 10.25-inches. It also runs Coffee OS 3 with 40 applications built in and a Tesla style control system for the climate control.

There is also a brand new steering wheel design, which does away with the circle shape and instead has a more modern looking design with flat bottom. The gear shifter has also been moved from the centre console to the steering wheel stalks.

Battery, Motors and Range

The battery size is 45.9 kWh, which is interestingly smaller than both Ora 03 models offered in the UK, which can be had with either 48kWh or 62kWh. DC charging speed is not specified for the Chinese market but AC is rated at 6.6kW.

Range is based on the CLTC cycle and is 430km (267 miles) on both trim levels.

The 2025 version also has more power than the outgoing model, with 126kW (168bhp) which puts it inline with what is offered in the UK.

Trims, Colours and Pricing

Ora in China is still selling the pre-facelift model of the car, which is dubbed 'Classic' and it comes in at 89,800 yuan (£9,196) and the spec is slightly different to what is offered in the UK. In China it has 105kW (140bhp), whereas in the UK it has 168bhp and there are some other small changes too.

However, the new 2025 model starts at 99,800 yuan (£10,219) and comes in two trim levels, 'luxury type' and 'Zunrong type'. Both are fitted with the same powertrain and battery, but extra equipment is added instead such as Intelligent Cruise System (ICC), Adaptive Cruise (ACC) and more.

The Ora Good Cat can be had in either Pink coral, Jasper, Bright green, Dongzhubai, Tahiti gray, Pink coral + black roof, Bright green + black roof, East pearl white + black roof or Emerald blue + black roof.

The interior can be configured with either Tan Yun Brown, Green Luo Bi or Shi Qingcui.

Ora Good Cat GT

Elsewhere in the range, the GT model has been refreshed with the same interior design and technology. The exterior is pretty much the same as what is offered in the UK currently, but the interior also features the larger infotainment screen, updated steering wheel but also, yellow and black design with bucket seats.
