More cars are getting support for wireless CarPlay

More and more cars seem to be offering wireless CarPlay in their new vehicles, as the rumour of the next iPhone not including any Lightning port whatsoever. For example, in the US, Hyundai is adding wireless CarPlay to the 2021 models of the new Tuscon, Santa Fe, Venue and Palisade.

Here in the UK, the latest Volkswagen Golf 8 now has wireless CarPlay too.

Wireless CarPlay uses a combination of WiFi and Bluetooth to stream the interface to the in car infotainment screen and the transition to a portless phone could be possible now Apple has added MagSafe to the latest iPhone 12 models.
