Telegram will support group video calls next month

Telegram will be launching a new group video calling mode next month to join similar systems that already exist such as Zoom, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger. Pavel Durov, Telegram CEO said the group video mode will offer familiar features that other apps have such as screen sharing and noise cancellation. Telegrams app on desktop, mobile and tablet will all support the feature.

Telegram had rapid adoption earlier this year when WhatsApp revealed its new privacy policy, like Signal it is a very private end-to-end encrypted messaging service with good device support on Windows, macOS, iOS and more. Messages sync between devices, as does the read status.

Group video calling on Telegram is due to come in May.
