Nissan introduces new GT-R for Japan

Nissan introduces new GT-R for Japan

Nissan has today launched a new updated version of the GT-R, most years the company gives the car a few updates a year and this time around, Nissan has launched two new special editions exclusively going on sale in its home country, Japan.

The “Premium Edition T-Spec” and the “Track Edition Engineered by Nismo T-Spec” will go on sale in Japan this October with only 100 cars being produced in total, the Premium Edition T-Spec will be £104,000 and the Nismo version will be £117,000.

The Premium Edition T-Spec will have wider and lighter alloys and adjusted suspension. The seats in this model have some unique stitching design too.

The Track Edition Engineered by Nismo T-Spec is even lighter, with a new carbon fibre roof and boot lid.

Nissan has kept the same bullet proof twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V6 petrol engine, with an output of 562bhp in the Premium model and 592bhp in the Track version.

Nissan is due to dicontirue the GT-R soon and this new model could actually be the last version before it is killed off, as of writing it has been on sale for 12 years. Nissan has no plans to bring these two special editions outside of Japan.
