According to a survey by Piper Sandler, Apple is now the most popular brand for watches for upper-income teenagers in the US. This spot has previously been held by Rolex. Smartwatch ownership by teenagers in the US has increased from 30% to 35% when comparing autumn 2020 to autumn 2021. Data from spring 2021 has shown that 13% of teens were intending to purchase an Apple Watch, this is now 15%.

When taking the iPhone ownership into account, 87% of US teenagers own and iPhone and 88% expect an iPhone to be their next smartphone. Unsurprisingly, Apple Pay is the second most popular way to pay for US teenagers, only behind cash.
